School of Social Work

This portfolio contains examples of my work that support my application for the position of Case Manager. It also contains examples of my other work that illustrate my diversified skill set across social work practice settings.

  • My Resume is a general overlook of accomplishments and experiences, skills and achievements, and a history of employment and duties.
  • My Philosophy Statement goes in-depth on what led me to begin my social work journey and my passion for becoming a social worker.
  • In my Social Justice, I focused on 'Audism' as this is not a topic that is often spoken of, Oppression of the deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind, and late deafen community is real and present, Audism impacts deaf communities in major ways
  • My Policy focuses on ASL (American Sign Language) Interpreters, Representative Grier tried to pass a bill that allowed for ASL interpreters to volunteer, which impacts the communication and understanding accessibility for deaf communities.
  • My Research or Evaluation was a team effort and we focused on the "Evaluation of the Youth Alliance Efforts to Prevent Adolescent Electronic Cigarette Use", in this research we addressed the prevalence and significance of adolescent electronic cigarette use in Buchanan County, Missouri. It discussed the rationale behind the strategies St. Joseph Youth Alliance (SJYA) is using to minimize electronic cigarette use.
  • In my Clinical SW Practice, I presented an intake assessment, treatment Plan and Rationale,  and clinical intervention of a fictional client. This shows and provides the skills that I have learned when working with a client and gathering information to have a better understanding of how they want to be supported as well as how to better support them.
  • For my Field, it is presented as an example of a suicide risk assessment that I worked on every time interacted with a client that reached out on the 988 chat and text Lifeline. Also attached, is a formal evaluation of my skills and performance while taking chats that are evaluated and analyzed by the QA team (Qualitative Assurance).
